Sebastian Albu is a writer, musician and composer living in Denver, Colorado. He holds a B.A in music from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Biology from the Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Sebastian has contributed material for Bloggernews.net and has also written numerous essays and short stories which can be found on his website.
He considers Flannery O'Connor, William Faulkner, John Steinbeck and Vladimir Nabokov to be a few of the finest authors he has read.
When not writing words, Sebastian composes for and leads the jazz/expermental group Golan. In January of 2008, Sebastian completed and released Golan's first studio album, Silhouette. Recently, he finished the score to the group's upcoming second release, Elegy. The group is currently in the process of recording and Elegy is set to be released sometime near the end of August, 2009. Sebastian's playing and composition have been compared to Bill Frisell and, in addition, he considers Marc Ribot, Tom Waits, and John Zorn to be at the forefront of his many musical influences.
