I've also written about football legends like Joe Montana, Steve Young and Jerry Rice. Basketball? Shaq, Michael Jordan. In addition, I have interviewed Olympians, golf and tennis champions and top athletes and coaches in a variety of sports.
I have written for Associated Press, The San Mateo Times, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat and am currently working part-time as an assistant sports editor at the Palo Alto Weekly, which has received numerous awards for its sports coverage and layout.
In addition, I have written (as a stringer) for The Boston Globe, the Tucson Citizen, the Seattle Times, the Durham Herald-Sun, and the City Newspaper (Nashville).
I was also a member of the Baseball Writers Association of America for seven years. I've had lunch with Jerome Holtzman, dinner with Frank Robinson and Paul Blair, and sat beside Robin Roberts, Dave Boswell and Dave Albee in various press boxes.
