Marissa Ponikowski (nee Stapley) has been a journalist since 1998. Her work has appeared in The Toronto Sun, The Globe & Mail, TV Guide, Elevate, Today's Parent, Viva, Alive, Health N' Vitality, The Costco Connection and Canadian Retailer. She also provides online content for Food Network and HGTV.
Since becoming the mother of two young children, Marissa has turned her attention to making the world a better place. She's stepped up her green living writing efforts and also recently completed her first novel: it's called Saving the World (In Sensible Shoes) and is currently being shopped to publishers.
She has a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University.
