I am a Los Angeles based native Californian, and self-confessed travel addict whose mission is to help people maximize their travel experiences through adventures off the beaten path.
I was bitten by the travel bug as a young child; my parents instilled in me a sense of adventure, wonderment and exploration. However, it wasn’t until I backpacked through Europe that I realized just how many amazing places this world has to offer, and how different yet interconnected the cultures are. While I may not get to travel to a different continent each year, I firmly believe that travel can begin in your own back yard. Local or regional travel is just as important as international because it provides insight to the local culture, and stimulates the local economy. I have lived in various cities of the Golden State my entire life, constantly exploring every nook and cranny of the west coast. While I have covered quite a bit, I realize that I still have so much more to explore.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from CSU, Sacramento, with concentrations in Public Relations and Journalism and a minor in Marketing. During my undergraduate years I studied abroad in Ireland, which further fueled my passion for travel, languages and cultures. Currently, I am working on my Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Azusa Pacific University. Blending my talents, experience, and education, along with my zest for travel and an intimacy of California, I am well prepared to share the natural beauty and architectural magnificence of the Golden State with the Suite 101 readers.
