Sarah Goodwin-Nguyen

Sarah Goodwin-Nguyen holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from the New School for Social Research in NYC.

Her work with wildlife and exotics began as a volunteer in the "exotics" room of the Harlem SPCA and with Rabbit Rescue and Rehab. After moving from NYC to Key West in the Florida Keys, she decided to make a full-time career out of her passion for nature, first at the Wildlife Rescue of the Florida Keys, then as Operations Manager for the Key West Wildlife Center, next as an aquarist and tour guide at the Key West Aquarium, and currently at the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory. She continues to volunteer in the Avian hospital of the Key West Wildlife Center.

Goodwin-Nguyen is the author of Key West: A Comprehensive Guide to Florida's Southernmost City (Parkscape Press, 2008.) She is a frequent contributor of book reviews to A Gathering of the Tribes. Her poetry, short fiction, and travel writing has appeared in numerous journals, 'zines, and anthologies.
