Sara Baker - Profile

A freelance writer based in Knoxville, Tennessee, Sara Baker holds an MA in English and Creative Writing and a BA in English and Religion. She has worked as a full-time copywriter, university composition and literature instructor, ESL instructor, and assistant reference librarian. Sara writes travel essays, book reviews, and grants for local organizations, and in her free time she focuses on poetry and fiction.

Sara's other passion is travel, and she satisfies her thirst for cultural knowledge and new experiences by going abroad as much as possible. In fact, she has lived abroad twice, studying in Wales and teaching English in Poland. Her favorite places thus far include Prague, Florence, Krakow, Jaipur, and Dartmoor.

When not writing or traveling, Sara can be found gardening organically, cooking vegetarian meals from around the world, knitting, practicing yoga and meditation, and, of course, reading.
