Sadie Babits

Sadie Babits is an award-winning journalist who can often be found with headphones on her head, a mic in one hand, a recorder in the other and a camera around her neck.

She’s spent her professional life working mainly in public radio, listening and telling people’s stories. Her work has aired on National Public Radio shows including Morning Edition and All Things Considered as well as WBUR’s Only a Game, The Environment Report and American Public Media’s Marketplace.

Sadie is now embarking into print and online media. She’s written for Native American Journal and regional and local publications including Mountain Living, and The Boise Weekly.

She is a former International Reporting Project fellow, which took her to the East African country of Kenya to report on water crisis and sustainability issues in 2004. She is also the recipient of a National Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative Journalism as well as numerous state specific and regional awards.

From covering the Tour de France to floating down the Colorado River, Sadie enjoys covering sports and recreation, our natural world and stories that provide insight on cultures around the world.

Sadie holds a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations and a minor in Mass Communication/Journalism from Boise State University.
