Sabrina Barekzai

As a high school student, Sabrina Barekzai took journalism courses and wrote for her school's monthly newspaper, The Lance, from freshman to senior years. She first joined the staff as Sports Co-Editor during the 2005-2006 school year. She later held position as Entertainment Editor for two years, between the 2006-2008 school years. Sabrina primarily writes film, television, music, and book reviews.

Sabrina was awarded an Excellence in Layout & Design award by the Prime Movers Program, School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University in April of 2008.

Sabrina attends Virginia Commonwealth University where she plans to major in Mass Communications; she intends to persue journalism and writing in the future.
