Ruthanne is originally from Atlanta Georgia USA but has recently moved to Australia to be with her fiance, Shannon Murdoch. She has enjoyed the challenges of relocating and immigrating abroad permanently in the beautiful quiet town of Newcastle (2 hours north of Sydney).
She recently finished two degrees one in art history and the other in print journalism. Her area of interest is media issues and how the media has become instrumental in the lives of people around the globe. She studies how media can shape perceptions and cultures through disseminating images and information. Her favorite books include Growth Fetish and Silencing Dissent by Clive Hamilton.
Ruthanne is a freelance writer and is currently undertaking the production of a documentary on sustainable energy with Horizon Media.
