Roy Larkin is a freelance writer with a Diploma in Copywriting from the Institute of Copywriters.

He has been writing articles about British road transport history since the late 1970s and been published in Vintage Roadscene, Classic and Vintage Commercial, Classic Military Vehicle, Heritage Commercials and Truck Model World among other magazines.

He created and maintains the Historic Roadways website and is editor of the Roads & Road Transport History Association quarterly journal.

Current research projects include the road transport logistics of the Great War of 1914-18.
