Christian Nathler

My name is Christian Nathler and I'm a first-year journalism student at Ryerson University. I was born in Jena, Germany, where I first started writing in German, and came to Canada at the age of six. Since then, English has been my strongest subject in school and I hope to build a career around it.

My first publication came in grade 11 during a co-op placement with my hometown's community newspaper, the Midland Free Press. Since then, I've worked with this newspaper on a volunteer basis. The experience with the Free Press allowed me to develop a portfolio strong enough to earn acceptance into Canada's top journalism program.

I'd like to write professionally for a magazine upon graduation from Ryerson's four-year program, and to travel on a regular basis while writing articles.
