Renee Ruggero has been cruising since 1999, first as a crewmember and today as a passenger. Her travels have taken her to every continent and close to 50 countries, yet one of her favorite places to be is at home, in Canada.
Although no longer working at sea, Renee still cruises approximately 60 days per year with her husband who is an officer on a cruise ship. She's learned to balance a writing career with travelling and raising her twin daughters (who have close to 40 cruises under their belt and they’re only six years old).
Renee's work has been published in Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel, Porthole Cruise Magazine, Porthole Insider, Cruise Travel Magazine, CruiseCritic.com, WorkOnCruiseShips.com, MailOnline and CruiseMates.com. She's also a member of TMAC (Travel Media Association of Canada).
