After receiving his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from North Carolina State University in 2006, Rich moved to northern California and presently works in the public school system. He also has a Master's degree in School Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish with a French minor.
Rich has written articles for Academic Leadership: The Online Journal, the Preservation Foundation Inc., and was a contributing writer for an upcoming educational text entitled Unsettling Beliefs: Teaching Social Theory to Teachers (Diem, J. & Helfenbein, R., Eds.)
Rich spent six years in the U.S. Merchant Marines traveling around the world and learned five languages while visiting more than 35 countries.
He just completed his first book, humorous memoirs of growing up in New York City, entitled Tales of a New York Wiseguy. He is well read in international literature, with an emphasis on Romance languages' literature.
