I have always loved books and literature and it has been exciting to be able to turn my passion for reading into a rewarding writing pursuit. As the Feature Writer for World Literatures, I am enjoying the opportunity to experience and share some of the world's great literature as well as reviewing new and emerging writers.

In addition to my contributions in a variety of categories at Suite101.com, I work as a freelance writer with my writing partner, Meredith Flynn. In 2008 we launched our website, now called Oh, The Thinks you can Think, where we showcase our writing interests and focus on promoting our home town of Newcastle, NSW, Australia. We also post regular blog articles and book reviews on our book blog, Reading Upside Down. You can also follow us at Twitter.

One of the aspects of writing at Suite101 that I have enjoyed most is the opportunity to promote Australian products, businesses and authors. I have published a large number of book reviews and continue to be excited by the depth and range of talent that is out there in the Australian publishing industry.

I have published print articles for magazines such as Show Mummy the Money and the Business Mums Network Magazine. In 2005 Meredith and I published Keep the Table Laughing - A Cookbook with a Twist, designed to provide easy to prepare recipes for people who love to cook but who need to fit cooking in around all their other everyday commitments.

I'm looking forward to taking on more writing challenges in the future and would love to hear from any readers with comments or suggestions for future articles.
