Rasham Nassar
Contributing Writer
Rasham Nassar is an emerging writer from the California Bay Area. A graduate from the University of California at Berkeley, Rasham's writing includes fiction, non-fiction, and journalistic contributions with an emphasis in mind and body health. When she was 23, Rasham was diagnosed with the chronic condition 'sciatica', and suffered the temporary loss of her left leg as a result. Having exhausted all western medicine options, Rasham personally pursued alternative treatments, which spawned her interest in holistic and natural health. Her innate curiosity compliments her academic background; Rasham's studies were primarily in Eastern Philosophies, where she was able to explore the roots of spirituality and religion, and relate such findings to her modern existence. Rasham considers herself a loyal student of world science and spirituality, and regularly dabbles in varying forms of meditation, yogic exercise, concentration, focus, and thought. She currently writes for the Oakland Examiner online, and her personal blogspot featured on her website 'Rasham Writes' illustrates her incredible creative capacities, providing the reader with exerpts from current literary works, poetry, and music publications.
