According to a famous philosopher, you never really know something unless you can teach it. Since I never get the chance to teach everything that I learn, writing has always been my way of explaining myself and articulating ideas to help me realize that I know the subject well. This has been my philosophy whenever I write. I hope I am able to impart knowledge and viewpoints that you find useful or, at least, intellectually stimulating.

My articles here will be primarily about my field of expertise which is microbiology. I have gained my bachelor's degree in biology from the University of the Philippines and am now pursuing my masteral studies in the same university. I'm engaged in a lot of academic writing right now, specially for my upcoming master's thesis. A reason why the first series of my articles are more of technical papers than feature articles.

I also write about philosophy and religion. Well, in this case, I think a degree is not needed. Every intelligent person wonders about his/her place in the universe and about the meaning of existence, in one way or another. I have been in an endless journey to self-realization or spiritual enlightenment. I just wish to share on how I came to find a simple spiritual philosophy that one can live by without sacrificing rationality and common sense.

Enjoy.
