I don't know whether you get the wide array of autumnal fruits that we do in Spain but right now the trees are laden with membrillos - quinces and caqui - custard apples.

Rachel was born in England but has lived in Spain since 1996. She writes mainly about Spain and contributes regularly to The European for International Living. She enjoys writing, caring for her holiday rental home and sharing her explorations of Spain and taking a few photos along the way.
She teaches English as a Foreign Language part -time and although she prefers writing to teaching she says it doesn't help improve her spoken Spanish, so she is trying to create a balance between the two. Her desire is to travel and explore all of Spain, and its islands while researching the 91 Paradors en route.
Rachel is the Jaen Regional Editor for the new and growing nativespain.com and contributes to various travel-related websites. She has won third-prize in the infohub Travel Writing competition and been shortlisted in a children's story competition.
Her current passion is working on her website about Andalucia and her blogs;
