Rachel Oliva is an actress and writer based in Southern California. She has appeared in films, television, and is an active member of the Los Angeles theatre community.
Rachel began her career in Minneapolis at Augsburg College where she received her bachelor's degree in Theatre Performance. After completing her degree she moved to New York City to attend The Actors Studio MFA Program. While in New York, she acted in every small theatre from the Upper West Side to the Bowery. She also appeared off-Broadway as Rachel in "Inherit the Wind" (that's one "off"!).
Rachel has always been a writer although it took many years before she would show her work to anyone. Since 2004, she has maintained a personal blog called Urban Bella - chronicling her daily woes, written a novel for National Novel Writing Month, and written a screenplay for the producer of "Flightplan". She works continuously as a ghost writer and in her downtime is writing her second novel and working on a collection of short stories.
She recently completed filming "Stag Night" starring Kip Pardue, Breckin Meyer, and Vinessa Shaw. It is due out next year.
