Jonathan Coley is a college student at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and is currently completing his BA in Political Science. He writes a weekly political column for his university's newspaper, The Samford Crimson, for which he was nominated best editorial writer at the 2008 Southeastern Journalism Conference (SEJC).

Coley primarily covers the topic of video games for Suite101. Before coming to Suite101, he covered the video games beat for a variety of websites, including Nintendo Insider. While there, he completed two books, Gaming Journalism and the Search for Objectivity and The State of the Handheld Industry: 2005 Edition, and was profiled in magazines such as Electronic Gaming Monthly. Writing over fifty articles a month, he also interviewed major players in the video games industry, including Nintendo of America's former vice president, Perrin Kaplan.

In his free time, he enjoys reading books, going to concerts, and meeting new people.
