Joshua J. Mark holds advanced degrees in literature and philosophy and teaches writing and ancient philosophy at a local college in upstate New York. A freelance writer for the past fifteen years, Mark's fiction has appeared in numerous journals and magazines (Angels on The Earth, Re:Vision, etc) in print as well as on-line on sites such as Espresso Fiction. In addition to his work in fiction, Joshua Mark has written on the American War Between the States (the so-called Civil War), ancient philosophy and history (specializing in ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman cultures), and on Parkinson's disease. He is the copy-writer for the Parkinson's disease site Hope For A Cure and wrote the publication, `For The Sake of One Another: A Brief Introduction To Parkinson's Disease', released in 2006. Having lived in Greece and traveled in Egypt, as well as many other countries, Mark has also published travel writing both on-line and in print and is the author of two novels, screenplays and, of course, short fiction.
