Welcoming a New Sibling to the Family

Mom to four teenagers in a blended household, Kelly writes for and trains adults on various aspects of parenting and child care. Kelly stayed home when her children were young and began working part-time after her children started school.
As a freelancer, Kelly enjoys working on a variety of projects with a variety of agencies. She schedules her work roles so that she still works part-time hours. One week, Kelly may be teaching a 2-hour parenting class, a 5-hour child care training and working on writing projects at home. The next week, Kelly may be teaching a 2-hour parenting class, working as a Writer Artist in Residence in a school for 2 hours and working on writing projects at home.

- Parent Educator - Kelly has been teaching Positive Discipline Parenting Classes part-time since 2000 in her local community.
- Certified Master Child Care Trainer - Kelly trains child care providers for annual continuing education credit.
- Writer for Adults - Kelly enjoys writing educational articles for parents and child care providers.
- Parent Education Website& Blog- Kelly manages and writes THINKitTHROUGHparenting.com and the Daily Parent Drive Thru
Intermittent Work & Projects:
- Writer Artist in Residence/Teaching Artist in public elementary schools
- Writer for the Preschool Fitness Section of PreschoolRock.com.
- Positive Discipline Associate. Kelly trains facilitators for the Positive Discipline Association.
- Children's Writer - Kelly writes both fiction and non-fiction for children and is awaiting publication of her work in Highlights for Children Magazine.
