Philip M. Orbach - Profile

Philip M. Orbach is a native New Yorker where he attended Queens College majoring in Computer Science. While in school Philip authored a popular weekly column for the "QC Quad," where he answered computer and technology related questions using humor wherever possible. In retrospect, he probably shouldn't have named the column "Ask Philip" if he wanted to attract only tech questions.

He now teaches evening computer courses there including one class called "Data Structures and Algorithms in Java," which he says is "a really cool name for a course about data structures and algorithms in Java." He currently spends his weekdays working for an undisclosed U.S. government agency (it's probably better you don't know which one anyway - and no it's not the IRS!) in the electronic security field.

Philip has earned CISSP, which stands for Certified Information Systems Security Professional. If you ever meet a CISSP make sure you don't call them a "sisp." The proper pronunciation is C-I-S-S-P. How would you like it if I called you a sisp?!
