Philosophy Walker

Howdy. I'm Philosophy. Yeah, I'm serious. And no, I do not have any siblings named History or Anthropology. It's my given name, so deal with it.

I just graduated from Vassar College with a degree in English, and I've been working as a freelance writer while my husband finishes his own degree. I've worked for many different newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times, the Poughkeepsie Journal, The Weekly Beat (also in Poughkeepsie, NY), the Struthers Journal (Struthers, OH), and the Salem News (Salem, OH). I've also done a lot of online work: I used to be a blogger for the student political blog The Purple State, and now I write articles for eHow.com and run my own blog, A New Philosophy, which explores twenty-something living and the challenges of being a young person in today's society and economy.

I am also a poet, and have been published in some small journals, including Word Salad and Scrivener's Pen. On top of all that, I'm also working on a book about the American wedding industry, which should be out within a couple years.

I live in Austintown, Ohio with my husband, an Episcopal-priest-to-be named Adam, and my two cats, Charlotte Brontë and Lenore.
