Peggy Hoehne - Profile

I am 50-something, a mother, a writer and have a part-time job. I am the Contributing Editor of the topics Household Tips and Wisconsin here at Suite 101, I write a monthly column for my churches newsletter, and freelance articles for an Internet newspaper. See more about these at my personal Website Gleanings.

Things that can totally absorb me are reading and researching information on the Internet. I love to find new or intriguing information right here in my own home. My part-time job involves Internet sales so I spend time on the computer both at home and at work.

I have very little time to surf the Internet 'just for fun'. I am usually looking for column ideas, but that still leaves me a lot of latitude. I usually write about factual things as opposed to opinion pieces so nearly anything can give me an idea for an article.

I have bookmarked favorites on everything from shopping, to religion, to history. One of my most used favorites is Dictionary.com. It has become easier to look up words on the Internet than to grab a book. I usually get more definitions, too. Oh yes, another passion of mine is words; their meanings, origins, etymology. That might explain why I have several dictionaries bookmarked.
