<p>Hello! I'm Ann Kitalong, full-time business-owner, full-time mom, and part-time writing teacher.</p> <p>I started working independently about six years ago when I developed my first web site for a women's organization on my college campus. Since then, I have completed both a BA and MS in communications, have been owner or part-owner of three businesses, and have taught college writing classes.</p> <p>I became interested in this topic because when I first started my businesses, because I found that there is very little support for the woman entrepreneur --- especially those women who start their businesses at a younger age. My goal here is to help other women who own and operate their own businesses. My focus is, naturally, going to be on the start-up stage of business because that's probably one of the most difficult stages for an entrepreneur to get through successfully, and it's also the stage with which I have the most experience.</p> <p>I hope that women of all ages will find this column helpful in their own business endeavors.</p> <p>Finally, outside of running my businesses, I enjoy writing, yoga, gardening, reading, lifting weights, playing with my son, and spending time with the wonderful man who is my partner in both business and life.</p>
