Eva Holmes - Profile

I've only recently begun researching my Italian ancestry, but I've been practicing for years. About ten years ago my paternal grandparents started taking me to local genealogy meetings. Even so, I'd never looked too far into the maternal side of my family: it was too frustrating. No one even knew the name of the town my grandfather came from! I've since learned that information, along with the places my grandmother's family came from.

Genealogy is a fun hobby, like solving a mystery, or putting together a puzzle. I've even found a murder, though that's nothing to be proud of, of course. The death record of my great uncle says that he was 'murdered by another Italian.' I'm in the process of trying to find out *why* and by who. It's better than Agatha Christie!
