<p>Paper Turtle lives in New England. (Her children have already left the nest.) She's a writer/artist. She chose her user name bacause she makes paper and the turtle is a symbol of creativity and regeneration.</p> <p>She began creating art as a small child and has continued to explore in various media including painting (oils, acrylics, and water color), print making, sculpture, and paper making/paper sculpture. In addition she creates art on the computer.</p> <p>She has been writing poetry for more than thirty years. Her poems have appeared in literary magazines and anthologies. Receiving a BA in Communications from Johnson State College was only one step on the journey for a life-long student, whose curiosity continually leads her into new explorations. She shares her love of learning and poetry with others, teaching poetry classes, leading workshops, and participating in local school programs.</p> <p>She recently graduated from a one-year certificate program and hopes to begin a new life working in human services.</p> <p>When she isn't writing or creating she loves reading, music, crafts, and cooking (especially bread making).</p>
