Experience is the author of authoritative writing. That's why I focus on subjects where I can say "been there, done that". It's hard to write with credibility when the main source of knowledge is online research.

My life includes being a husband, father and active member of my local community in England. My workplace experience has involved managing teams of professionals, establishing new business units and providing consulting services in IT and finance systems. I've developed and delivered training courses and presentations.

I've worked with and for a range of businesses, from start-ups to international corporations, and I've travelled widely around the world. I am a qualified finance professional.

For a while now I've been a full-time freelance writer. My specialities include business, finance, travel and history. I'm also a keen amateur photographer and most of the photos I use on my articles are my own work.

New experiences boaden my horizons, which is why I seek them out. They inspire me to write as I continue to gain a better understanding of myself and the wonderfully diverse world that I share with you.
