Josefine Köhn-Haskins is a New York based author and journalist. Her articles have appeared in major German publications, such as Süddeutsche Zeitung, Rolling Stone and Galore. Born and raised in Germany, she came to the US in 1999. Since than she has worked as an editor, analyst, trendscout, adjunct professor and German language instructor at SUNY New Paltz. She also has coauthored a New York Cityguide for Graefe & Unzer, published some short stories and likes to explore uncovered areas. For her feature about the "Federation of Black Cowboys" she was awarded with the kontext research grant.
