Nicki Jhabvala

I am a 2007 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Journalism and Mass Communication, having focused my studies on news-editorial and sports communication. While in school, I freelanced for a number of regional newspapers, such as The Cary (N.C.) News, and a handful of websites and magazines, like Sports Illustrated on Campus and Inside Lacrosse. I wrote for UNC's student newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel, covering a variety of sports, notably the women's soccer and basketball teams, and during my senior year, I was named a Hearst Journalism Awards Program merit award winner in sports journalism and the winner of the Larry Keith Edwards Sports Writing Award. After interning with Sports Illustrated For Kids for two summers, I landed my current position as an associate producer with SI.com, maintaining the content of all the individual team pages for the magazine's website.
