I've played many roles in my life. To name a few; student, army officer, secretary, nurse, writer, mother, daughter, wife, ex-wife, girlfriend, friend, foe etc ... Now, I'm back to being a student. A mature student literally. I feel old in a class full of 17-22 year olds! Nonetheless it's a course I've always wanted to do-Diploma of Communication & Media. I have a fascination with the human body (not in a perverse way). I like to know the physiology of the anatomy and the intricately-entwined functions of every living tissue within us. I also love to read; fiction, non-fiction, food labels. & especially love hoarding books. One issue that has pervaded most of my life is my quest for the spiritual truth. I've been trying to find the connection between the religion I was born into, nature, life & the universe. It's been a mind-boggling journey & I'm still not closer to whatever the truth is! Naturally, as a mother, I'm faced with the challenge of how to best raise my child. What are the ethos I hope she'd adopt; should I incorporate religion into our lives; am I being too lenient; am I being too strict; the list in endless. I hope you'll enjoy this journey and exploration I'll be presenting to you. |
