Natalia Heilke is in her final term of a creative writing degree at the University of Victoria. Her focus is on short fiction, but she dabbles in creative non-fiction, journalism and children's literature. When she is not in school she spends a great deal of time reading and scrapbooking.
One of Natalia's passions is traveling, and once she is no longer a student she plans to get back to doing lots of it. She has spent time abroad on multiple occasions, staying in Germany, Italy and France for long spans of time. When she was 18 she lived for a year in Paris, where she survived the educational experience of being a full-time nanny for three French children.
Natalia lives on Canada's rainforested west coast in the company of several hundred books and a well-used library card.
