Corinne Westphal is a worldwide-based writer and editor and "Jill of many trades."
She has 12+ years of editorial experience in print and broadcast journalism and corporate communications. More recently, she adds books and online publications to the mix.
Her complete professional career spans industries including information technology, interior design, education, fundraising, and, of course, journalism. She has worked in diverse positions as reporter, HR manager, PR manager, training and development manager, teacher and professional and personal coach, amongst others. These experiences have merely strengthened Corinne's view that “everything has an interesting angle; everyone has a story to tell."
Two book projects she recently worked on are Living in Vienna, a three-volume guide to Vienna Austria, and What’s Cooking with IWC Hamburg, an international cookbook whose proceeds benefited single mothers of handicapped children in Hamburg, Germany. She is currently working on a novel.
Corinne is originally from the Washington, DC area. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Boston University and did her graduate work at Georgetown University in TESL. Having traveled through the US and Europe extensively and in pockets of Asian and Africa, there are several places she has called home: Washington, DC, Rockville, MD and Paris, France are those she holds most dear.
Corinne has a passion for books, food and drink, tech gadgets, board and online games, scuba diving, animals, her husband, and, of course, travel. She’s fascinated by people and what makes us tick.
Her favorite quote is from her father (1921 – 2006), “I honestly feel I haven't wasted ONE moment of my life.”
