Susan is proud to be a contributing writer at Suite 101. A diversity trainer and professional development consultant, Susan is also a published author and freelance writer on career development, and multicultural/multiracial issues. Her first book--Intercultural Communication--was released by Thomson South-Western publishing in 2005. Susan is currently at work on a second book, which explores the experiences of proud multiracial Americans who refuse to squeeze the richness and diversity of their heritages into a single race box. Although walking the tightrope of race relations in a divided country is difficult, Susan hopes to make some small contribution to the realization of Dr. Martin Luther King's Dream of a unified America. His eloquent statement, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character," particularly resonates with her. When Susan is not building bridges, she is busy honing her craft, building her blog, making art, and raising her newborn twins and spunky 6-year old son. |
