Kristina Mondo

I have been a Freelance Writer for over four and a half years. I specialize in music journalism because it combines my two favorite passions music and writing.

I began my writing career on my college newspaper the Viking News at Ocean County College where along with my staff won awards presented to us by the New Jersey Press Association. Winning two awards in New Jersey's Better College Newspaper contest in the category of entertainment, I took second and third place in Crtical writing in 2006 and 2007. Following, my stint as columist on my college newspaper. I moved on to my local publication the Beachcomber.

At the Beachcomber, I again began a stint as a weekly staff writer reporting on the entertainment and music scene of some of the island's hottest clubs and nightlife. From there I attended music networking events and seminars where I landed positions with companies Alternative Venue Entertainment and most currently StarPolish. I love my job and what I do and want to use my words to inform, help and educate the public about the "real" music industry and its artists.
