I am a freelance writer based in the US. My topics of interest include movies, travel, food, and creative writing/fiction.

An avid movie watcher since my youth, I am an active member of the Bollywood section of India forums. I also regularly contribute to other movie sites including Sulekha and Flixster.

I started writing during my school and college years in India, and made the transition to professional writer after I moved to the US in the late nineties.

I have published on several websites (such as the Discovery travel channel), journals, magazines, ezines and books. T0 be honest, the list is too long, and I have given up keeping records.

As a film critic, I will choose movies that I think have certain merits (be it theme, direction, performances etc) that make it worthwhile for me to review. The selection will be based more on merit than commercial success, though I do not think the two are mutually exclusive.
