Jana Cole - Profile

I love the piano. Although there are many alternatives and substitutes for it out there, some created to imitate the piano sound, and some that create an alternative sound, no other kind of keyboard sounds or feels quite like an acoustic piano. I started piano lessons when I was 5 years old, and more than 30 years later, I am still learning!

I studied music in college and earned a master's degree in composition and piano performance from New York University. My bachelor's degree is in Film Scoring, from Berklee College of Music. I also play the harpsichord and soprano, alto and tenor recorders in a couple of amateur early music ensembles, and I accompany my father occasionally at his vocal recitals, playing jazz and pop piano.

Besides being a telecommting editor, I am learning programming (C++) which I like almost as much as music.

Also, I am a parent, and I hope to someday earn 100 percent of my income through telecommuting work, in order to stay at home with my kids, and to have very flexible work hours, which would allow me to work early in the morning and late at night, which I like to do.

I am passionate about the power of the internet to provide information and help people connect when they wouldn't otherwise be in contact. The home from which I am writing this was discovered by my husband and me (4 years ago) when I spotted it on an internet realty site before anybody else knew it was available. That was back when realty sites were more novel, I think, than they are now. I obtained a good 9-to-5 job through an employment website. I am doing a programming internship via the internet. I save alot of time by doing as much purchasing as I can on the internet. And I must mention that I've obtained so much valuable information from individuals from all parts of the world, via the internet. In other words, the internet has been very, very good to me.

I frequent primarily classical music sites and telecommuting sites.
