Melissa Reece

I am a freelance newspaper writer for The Leader Telegram and I also write for Suite 101.com. I have over ten years experience in the field of journalism where I have dabbled in the various mediums of print, television, and radio. I went to college at the University of Wisconsin River Falls where I received my Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

I have loved music since I was a child, and for two years I hosted a talk show on WRFW FM where I interviewed local bands from the MN area. I also planned, promoted, and organized an outdoor concert at the University featuring five bands from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Now, a few years later I am still discovering and interviewing bands from not just the Midwest but from all over the country (and even other countries). It is my passion and my drive to write about what I love and Suite101 has given me that chance.
