Melissa Parks

Melissa began her practice in writing with her first publication in the second grade, and now holds a BA in creative writing from the University of California Riverside. She is a lover of learning, and her writing is influenced by the every-day encounters in her life. She has special passions for travel, food and drink, human communication, animal conservation, photography, literature, and art.

Currently, in addition to working as a freelance writer, she is busy teaching English as a foreign language in Europe. She is presently in Spain seeking cultural experience, knowledge of the language, and fodder for her writing.
