Lory-Michael Ringuette - Profile

No, you won't see me on ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT any time soon. You see, I'm what you might call an unknown low-budget, no-budget film actor & director (Although I do have a small fan club in Australia) with well over 30 speaking roles in independent features that include THE VIDEO DEAD (1987), FIREFIGHT (1987) SAVAGE INSTINCT (1989), STEELHEEL (1989), PRISONER OF TIME (1991), NOT FAMOUS YET (1992) SHADOW HUNTER (1994),WALLS OF SAND (1995), THIS GUN FOR HIRE (1996), ect. I also directed the features DEEPLY DISTURBED (1995) & THE REAPER (soon to be released). Actually, filmmaling is nothing new to me. I started shooting monster movies along with my school buddies back when I was in the 6th grade with an 8mm film camera given to me by my father for my 11th birthday. Music has also played an important part in my life. I have performed and recorded with several Rock & Country bands back in the 60's through the 80's and even ended up doing the background music for DEEPLY DISTURBED. I've written articles, interviews, and reviews for such magazines as FILM/TAPE WORLD & TRASHOLA. My degree is in Visual Communications (film storyboarding). I'm still actively working in the movie industry whenever I can and am now raising funds to finance a horror, comedy feature that I've written to shoot later this year. This will be another case of me having to wear more then one hat (producer, writer, director, actor) in order to get the project off the ground.
