Melanie J Cornish began her career in journalism at the London College of Printing in London. It was however during her ten year stay in New York that she became a familiar name within the confines of Hip-Hop Journalism. Her career began on AllHipHop.com where she contributed to the Breeding Ground Section, the area of the site which has gone on to kick start the careers of many of todays familiar names in Hip-Hop. From there, Melanie's reputation grew and her work spread rapidly on the web and into print.
Having contributed to sites such as HipHopDX.com, Ballerstatus.com, IHipHop.com, Nobodysmiling.com, she was commissioned to write a teaching aid for children in both the UK and the US with reading difficulties on the History of Hip-Hop by Tick Tock Media. This achievement will see her listed in the Library of Congress.
Melanie J Cornish has set up her own Media and PR Group while living back in the UK with her five year old daughter.
