Mei is an environmental/social development specialist with background in program management, training, policy work, and PR/communications.
Mei graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Development Studies and earned additional graduate coursework in Environmental Management and International Studies.
On her free time, she writes blogs and articles and was once writing for Entrepreneur Magazine. She is also seriously pursuing photography & was part of a group photo exhibit titled Green Lens, Blue Shutters, which ran at the Likha-Diwa Arts, Quezon City. She had her 1st Solo Exhibition (Black & White Photography) last February 19 to March 4, 2004 at the ALCOVE Gallery of the Filipinas Heritage Library in Makati City.
She has visited several countries in Asia, Europe and North America and was based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for more than a year.
Mei also paints/sketches, writes poetry, dances, designs bags & crafts, and undertook scriptwriting workshop under the great master of screenplays, Ricardo “Ricky” Lee. Together with a business partner, she is currently setting up Asyanna, an online shop & blogs site, and volunteering with the Philippine Internet Users Society (PIUS) Inc.
