Recent Blog PostCentral America or South America?
For travelers trying to choose between a trip to Central America and a trip to South America, the decision can be a tough one. My vote? Central America.
Megan Lyles is a native New Yorker who has traveled extensively in the United States, Eastern and Western Europe, South and Southest Asia and Latin America. Her longest trip was a year-long journey from New York City to Buenos Aires by bus and boat, where she volunteered with the Red Cross in Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina, sailed into a reef and almost drowned en route to Colombia, ate a guinea pig in Peru, and got engaged in Buenos Aires. The travelogue she produced during that trip was nominated for a Bloggie and recommended by Geographic Traveler Online and Gadling. Megan's publications include essays in The Thong Also Rises: Further Misadventures from Funny Women on the Road, edited by Jen Leo and published by Travelers' Tales and in The Subway Chronicles: Scenes from Life in New York, edited by Jacquelin Cangro and published by Penguin/Plume, as well as Bootsnall Travel. |
