Megan Jungwi started her freelance writing career in March 2009. Although new to online writing Megan has long been passionate about the ocean. She has experienced first hand California’s kelp forests, Thailand’s coral reefs, and Indonesia’s tropical fish as a SCUBA diver. Although she has seen mantas, nudibranchs, reef sharks, and crabs she would love to one day find the elusive whale shark. Megan briefly studied Marine Biology at the University of Chicago where she graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Environmental Studies. She continues to study marine biology and oceanography in her free time. Megan believes conservation of the Earth’s habitats and resources, whether aquatic or terrestrial, is of the utmost importance. Megan currently lives in Brooklyn, NY and enjoys finding free things to do in New York City. She also enjoys traveling, swing dancing, and practicing martial arts. Megan can be hired for writing projects at oDesk. Suite 101 Editor's Choice award winning articles include: Mutual Symbiotic Relationships in the Ocean The Effects of Carbon Emissions on Oceans |
