Having spent twenty years doing medieval genealogy, writing numerous family histories for clients, and delving into more lives and pedigrees than can be imagined; a new and cohesive picture of the past has begun to emerge. I love sharing the tidbits I've learned! I've discovered that so many of the characters from the past have become my friends.
As I've have studied Hebrew, Gaelic, Danish, and German, a wonderful world of ancient records has opened up. Each language offers a different insight into our historical past. Each uses different wording, offering a deeper etymology of the story through their selection of word choices.
I am never happier than when pieces from the puzzle I already know, fit in with new pieces of old history.
