Meagan Carmichael

Meagan has been writing and editing for 14 years. Her early career includes copywriting for the Chicago Tribune’s Classified sections, and working for the Tribune Company in public relations and corporate communications.

After some traveling and a move to London, she became head editor for a board-level magazine, published by an international human resources and financial consulting firm. Interviewing Brits is still one of her favorite things to do.

She has spent most of her career interviewing corporate-types in a variety of industries, including building materials, financial services, media, insurance and healthcare. From CEOs and factory workers, to nurses and doctors, Meagan claims that if you listen, you will always find a good story.

Most recently, she lived in Northern California and wrote freelance articles for a variety of alternative and general healthcare companies.

Due to a 10 year struggle with back problems that ended in a scoliosis diagnosis, Meagan has turned her freelance writing focus to health and wellness, in the hopes that she can help others enjoy a pain free existence.

Her work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, OnBoard, The Multinational, Strategy@Work, AonWorld, and a number of corporate newsletters and magazines.

On a personal note, Meagan is married with two children and lives just North of Chicago.
