Hello

I've been a professonal journalist and writer for 20 years now. Prior to this I have worked as a stevedore, a supermarket shelf-stacker, an asphalt spreader, a carpenter, a warehouseman, fork lift operator, and loads of other stuff, including two years on markets and fairs throughout the UK.

I have lived and worked in all of the British Isles, including the Republic of Ireland, where I now reside with my wife and two children aged 15 and 18. In addition, I have lived and worked in France, Holland, Germany, Japan, and Canada.

Over the years I've worked for the Irish Independent, the Evening Herald, Sunday Business Post, In Dublin magazine, and many others. Currently I'm doing some freelance work in the community TV sector, which is a new and interesting direction.

Now aged 52, I remain a little vague about what I want to do when I grow up.
