Maura Clegg - Profile

I have written for pleasure my entire life, even taking the time to help friends write papers for school at times. It has helped my to develop my writing style and to learn more about writing at the same time.

I was recently accepted to the Long Ridge Writers group where I am working with a published author/mentor to help me to learn more about my writing skills. He has stated that my writing does not need much work and I have a well developed skill at this point. I am always trying to get better though, so I am working hard to impress him with each of my assignments.

My first novel, Mohican Lake was recently published by PublishAmerica and I am ecstatic. I am looking forward to people on the internet going to my website and checking out the sneak preview and hopefully buying my book. My family currently stands at four members; my husband, out six year old daughter, and an infant foster son - don't forget the dog and two cats. My daughter was recently diganosed with RAD (reactive attachment disorder) and ADHD we are currently in therapy to help her with the issues that she had before we adopted her that caused the RAD. It is going to be a long and difficult road, but my husband and I are committed to getting her the help that she so desperately needs.
