Profile and Qualifications
Matt Valentine is a full time writer with professional training in Psychotherapy, Counselling, Time Line Therapy(R), Healing and Bodywork Interventions. He has trained in both the UK and India and has managed and co-ordinated specialist units within the UK Health Service (NHS) with patients experiencing anxiety, stress and mental health disorders, including substance use. He also specialised in working psycho-sexually with young people and patients suffering from sexual dysfunction. Matt currently runs private clinics in the UK and India when he's not writing.

Matt has worked as staff writer for The National Dating Magazine (Leeds), The Unicorn Magazine (Cheshire) and has also edited and co-ordinated the newsletter for his previous PCT (Primary Care NHS Trust) - quite a diverse experience!
Matt's previous writing credits include From the Ashes in: Trauma, the Body and Transformation published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, London, Great Britain. This book is written by eight psychotherapists who share their own story of childhood trauma and gives inspiring examples of how different therapeutic interventions enabled change and transformation. Matt also has several article credits in various professional and healing publications including therapyToday (UK National) and Body and Soul Magazine (Manchester).

Matt travels widely and has a passionate interest in developing countries as he strives to offer support by royalties earned from book, article and e-book sales. In his leisure time Matt enjoys meditation, chi kung, photography, painting, laughing and talking - a lot!
