Matt Haynes

I have just completed my first year of a Sports Journalism degree, at Staffordshire University in England and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Over the course of my study year I have been privileged to learn from some of the most revered names in the business, including David Harrison (News of the World) and Bryan Pugh (Racing Post Editor).

During the last year I have completed 2 weeks of work experience at the Press Association on the Sports desk; one week in the summer of 2008, and the other over the Christmas period.

While there, I created features for the PFA, composed sport articles, attended a press conference at Hull City where I interviewed the Manager Phil Brown, and wired updates for Sky Sports News.

Finally, I have a passion for writing and put much thought into my articles to keep them refreshingly original, and illuminating.
